I have wonderful memories of Tardebigge School, Mr Hutchins and Mrs Crook,
the barn in the play ground with the climbing frame and the huge field that
seemed to go forever. I see many names on here I recognise, Heath, Mark, Vicky,
Kim, Dawn, Trevor just to name a few and I have sent emails to those with
addresses to say Hi. I remember the 200 year celebrations of the church and
the nativity plays and many other foggy memories like making brass rubbings
in the church and the little bottles of milk at break time. Happy Days. The
pictures of the school seem to be as it was when I left, seems hard to beleive
there are over 100 children at the school now. Congratulations to the school
on your Ofstead report and this excellent website. May the school prosper
for many a year and continue to hold many a happy memory as it does for me.
It would be great to hear from anyone that remembers me, fill in a few of
the things I cant remember. I would like to know what we all ended up doing
with ourselves? Best regards to all.

I have just revisited Tardebigge School since leaving in 1975,I was a pupil
there for three years and they remain today some of the happiest and most
magical. Mr.Hutchings was a wonderful teacher and guide,I remember him with
great fondness. Also the other pupils at the time such as James Boffey,Tim
Davies,Kim Bramley and many more, get in touch please. I was pleased to see
that beside the obvious changes the school has retained its character and
spirit, everyone I spoke to whilst visiting, was kind and helpful.it seems that
all who come into contact with the school, are touched by it in some way.Long
may it remain.

Amazing. I don't think there is anyone who doesn't have happy memories of
this school. It is certainly not by chance that Mrs. Crook's name keeps coming
up. By far the best teacher in my entire education. To see the school has
grown from I think about 38 when I was there in 82 to nearly 150 now is incredible.
Do they still use the school for Road Safety videos after my moment of infamy
doing the "Stop, Look, Listen and Think!" one with Dave Prowse and
Don Estelle ?

What a huge notsalgia trip I have just had!! The school hasn't really changed
that much. Like most of the other pupils who have signed the guest book, Mr.
Hutchins was my teacher too, how I loved that man, the best teacher I have
ever had, so informal and really interested in what you were doing and how
you were, his wife was exactly the same. I always remember when he decided
it was really nice outside and we were supposed to be doing maths, he said
"okay everyone, outside" and there we stayed until lunch, drawing
trees and flowers, taking rubbings off the trees, hunting round the gravestones
to find the oldest one (for which there was of course the inevitable prize!).
I also used to have a few lessons with Mrs. Crook, who nearly always used
to bring Ziggy her mad English Sheep dog, to school with her. What fond memories,
I was in the church choir, and Mr. Copley oversaw my mother's marriage. Happy
days. What a wonderful website, quite a few people still around that I remember,
the Pargiters (Isobel and Vicky),Iain Key,to name but a few.... Anyone who
remembers me that would like to contact me, feel free to do so. I used to
live on the grange at number 33, I was at Tardebigge from 1980 - 82, I then
went onto Ridgeway. Brilliant site, keep up the good work, and please send
my love and best wishes to Mrs. Crook,(she will remember me,(and my best friend
Caroline Jones - we were both mad on horses, and she taught us to play her
flute!).

WOW! I can't beleive it's on the web! FANTASTIC. The memories are priceless.
I went to Tardebigge school from 1974-1977. Mr Hutchings was the headmaster
and still the best teacher I ever had. He opened my eyes to the nature that
surrounds us and made learning fun. I remember Mrs Crook!!! I was run over
by a car in 1977 and injured my head quite badly - running across the road
to the old shop near Hewell Grange. I didn't go on to Ridgeway but to Aston
Fields, South Bromsgrove and UEA(Law). The Allard's (my family) lived on The
Park on Hewell Grange and I can't think of a better place in which to grow
up. The school and the Church (the summer fete!!) Christmas and the snow (I
dreaded the Nativity - but still remember trying to be King Herrod!!) swallows
and summer sitting beneath the oak tree on the games field watching the clouds,
The BARN for rainy days.... will always remain in my heart. People I remember:
James Boffey; Vicky Pargeter; Michelle James; Dawn Hirons and Trevor; The
Strachans; The Jones' (Nicola); Dean Tyler; The Spencers; The Phones there
are lots more but...... Now living in Sydney, Australia where I have been
since 1993. Anyone that remembers and would like to get in touch please feel
free to e-mail me.

My Dad was looking for something totally different and ended up at my school
site! We still only live a stone's throw away and often go for walks up the
church and school. I've printed the Picture of Thomas because we still play
together and now go to Ridgway School. I really liked Tardebigge School and
all of the teachers especially Mrs Crook. I only left a couple of years ago,
but still miss it

memories. Our farther Eric Heath was a prison officer and we lived on the
Hewell Grange estate. Our teacher was Mrs Crook and we would apprecite if
you could contact her and ask her if she remember's us. The school hasn't
changed much and i can still remember the beautifull suroundings. We would
be gratful if you could send us some photos of the school and estate as we

Just getting all nostalgic and looking up a few odd ends on the net and came
across your site. I was at Tardebigge School from March 1979 until the September
of that year when I went to Ridgeway Middle School. My headmaster was Mr Hutchings
and I also was in the Church Choir, the vicar at the time being Rev Copley
who also oversaw my sisters wedding in 1982. I last visited Tardebigge 2 years
ago, I used to live on Hewell Grange, my father being the Administration Officer
at Brockhill Remand Centre, and was amazed how many happy memories came flooding
back. I am still in touch with my best friend I met at Tardebigge, Danny James,
who's parents until recently still lived at 4 Tug Cottage on the main road.
I don't know if any of my other friends or parents will still be living in
the area, but if they are I would love to hear from them. Amongst them were
Adrian Freeman, Adrian Goode, Isobel Pargeter, Robert Smart. Anyway, well
done with the site, it's excellent and the pictures taken around the school
and church show little it has changed...

Great web site and one of a growing number in Worcestershire. The New WGfL
Service now indexes a growing number of schools with web sites so we should
be able to see how things develop over the coming months. Good to see the
work of children displayed and a great idea to add on-line games.
